Media companies are in the limelight with stocks such as Balaji Telefilms, Mukta Arts, TIPS Industries and Padmalaya Telefilms performing well in the Secondary Market. In the Primary Market front Adlabs Films Ltd got good response from the investors. The company offered Rs.4.4 mn shares of Rs.5 each at a premium of Rs.115, opened on Dec 11, 2000 and closed on Dec 16, 2000. Pritish Nandy Communications hit the secondary market at Rs.160 which is Rs.5 above its offer price.

IPO News this week


Indosoft International Ltd, a 100 per cent EOU and off-shore software development company, is planning to go for a public issue to raise Rs 20 crore to fund the marketing of software products in the US markets.

Andhra Bank is making an initial public offer of 15 crore shares of Rs 10 each at par and has filed its draft offer document. While 10 per cent of the issue is being offered to employees and working directors on a competitive basis the remaining 13.5 crore shares are being offered to the public.The total equity after the public issue would increase to Rs 450 crore, comprising 45 crore shares.

Kshema Technologies will go public in the first quarter of next fiscal. Kshema, which had initially meant to make the IPO this year, postponed it to the next fiscal, in anticipation of good results and better premiums.

Punjab and Sind Bank is expected to tap the primary capital market in May for raising Rs 100 crore and diluting Government stake by 20 per cent. The company has already got the approval from Sebi in this regard.


New Listings

Opto Circuits India got listed on BSE on Dec 18, 2000 at Rs.55, Rs.5 more than its issue price. It hit HSE at a price of Rs.60 on Dec 19, 2000.

Creative Eye Ltd got listed on BSE at Rs.59.40 on Dec 18, 2000. Its offer price is Rs.50.

Essem Info Systems got listed on HSE on Dec 18, 2000 at Rs.13, marginally above its issue price of Rs.10.
